How to connect to a folder on a different computer?

I got a laptop thats connected to my home network thru wireless. Using that laptop I wanna connect to a folder on the desktop that is connected to the router with a wire. How do I do that?How to connect to a folder on a different computer?
There are multiple answers, depending on what you want. If they are both Windows machines, then you should be able to just right click on the folder you want to share and click share. You can then follow the instructions.





You also need to set a network name. In the control panel, go to system %26gt; computer name %26gt; change and make sure that both computers have the same name.

it will have to be as a shared folder. also i do recommend password protecting it.
