How can I connect to a wireless network?

I have a s3707c hp computer that runs the 2007 Windows Vista. I have been trying to connect to the local wireless network and have been unsuccessful. It almost looks like this model doesn't come with a built-in wireless connector. Does it have a built-in wireless connector? If it doesn't, what does it need? If it does, how do I connect? How can I connect to a wireless network?
if it does push start, on the right side under the control panel and stuff there should be a button that says connect to- scroll your mouse over that- then push show all connections- a thing will pop up and you just click on the one you want to connect to and click connect

if it doesn't then you need to buy a wireless connector card- you should talk to your internet provider for this informationHow can I connect to a wireless network?
It's great that you posted the exact model number of your CPU. It made the research for your question easy. Too many folks don't post enough information to get a good answer.

Your computer does not have a wireless adapter in it. You will have to purchase one and install it. Make sure whichever one you purchase has a speed rating that matches your router or gateway for best performance. For instance, if your router is a ';G'; then a ';G'; adapter will be fine, if it is a ';N';, then get a ';N'; adapter.

Below is a link to your computer's original configuration in case you need it again at some point for upgrades or questions:
I think this is the spec page for your PC.

I don't see anything that says ';Wi-fi'; or ';802.11'; or ';WLAN'; or ';wireless'; so I don't think it supports that. You can look for a card to install, or pay someone to install it.

If you don't have a card, how do you know there is even a signal to pick up? My laptop has a switch to turn on the wireless access and then it will just tell you what it finds that you might be able to connect to.

See link about Wi-Fi.
Go to your network connections then go to wireless network connection then click properties then you will see a general tab then if you see internet protocol (tcp/ip) in the the connection uses this following items click it and then click properties then tick Obtain an ip address automatically.DONE.GO here to know something http://www.bukisa.com/articles/106033_fr鈥?/a>
If you have Widows Vista....

Go down to the right hand corner bottom of your screen go to the icon that has two computer screen and a globe. or an red X, right click and go to Connect to a Network.

Then go to the drop down list and select wireless if you don't see any there are not any signals in your area
If that's a desktop computer, they usually do not come with wireless adapters. If you do have an add-on wireless card and it is installed correctly, you should see it listed with all the other network adapters.
click start, network, network and sharing center, connect to a network. or click the wireless icon-should be on the bottom right.
what are you using to connect? all you have to do is scan for a access point. put in your password to the access point found on the bottom of the modem.

you need to put more detail
