Why has my webcam canceled out my other devices i try to connect with my laptop?

I downloaded my webcam program, I'm not sure what the program is but the webcam is a life cam vx6000. Ever since I downloaded it, I cannot put music on my mp3. Being that whenever I hook it up to the USB port, it says my computer cannot find the proper program. I was easily able to sync music on it before the cam. Any ideas on how to fix this besides deleting my webcam program?
