I need to change my protocol from n to either g or b...?

I have a dell latitude laptop with wireless built in.





I have a D LINK DSL 2640R wireless router which can only connect to n so i need to change protocol to either g or n? can anyone help please?I need to change my protocol from n to either g or b...?
What you mean is the router will only broadcast the signal to n and what you need to change is the receiver in the laptop. I assume your laptop will not pick up the signal from the router because it is only capable of b or g, the easiest solution is to buy a USB wireless adapter that will connect to the n range signals, this gives you a device you can use anywhere you take your laptop, plus the b and g already on your laptop for when the broadcast signal is not n, and the bonus is your new D-Link router has a stronger and more secure signal with a greater range.
