Shelfari users- is this a good site?

So, I just stumbled across Shelfari and am really psyched about the whole thing. I haven't had a chance put all of my book inventory on it, but I am just wondering if this is a hot site as far as book sites go. I obviously love books, but I want to find a site that is active so I can connect with like minded people. Is this a good social networking site for book people or is there a better one?

For my purposes, it's fantastic. It lets me flip through the books I've read before with relative ease, and makes finding a book fairly easy since I can usually remember a cover.





As to a social networking site? No clue. Not what I use it for.
