I decided to give Linux a try, and I picked the Ubuntu variant. I have some problems with the Internet connection though. I have a broadband (modem-less) PPoE connection, and all the info needed in order for me to connect are the username and password (which I have).
Where can I enter this info in Ubuntu? Step-by-step please. How to connect Ubuntu to the Internet through a broadband connection?

How do get my laptop connect to the same network with the computer connect to the modem and the router?
I want to connect my laptop to the desktop computer's network wirelessly but I don't know how. On my laptop its connect router's network but I can't connect it to the desktop's network. There's two separate networks but I can get both computers connected to one. Is there a way to do that? The desktop computer is connect to the cable modem and the router. If you have made a stock and purchase class, then you create new instances of these classes (probably in a new class with a main method). Then you call the methods on these classes as you need.
For instance, you have a stock class that has an *** method.

stock.add( %26lt;parameters%26gt; );
Similarly with the purchase class, create an instance of the class and call the methods on it.
If you are talking about inputting a text file you could use a Scanner and the file name as the parameter to the scanner.

If your computer has a blue ';line input'; connector, you can connect the line output of the amp (if it has one) to it. You can get the adapters at Radio Shack.

anyways when you installed xp, the cd most likely did not have the drivers for your hardware, most likely because xp only includes driver for about 2003 products and below.
so find out what is the name of the wireless card in your laptop and find the driver for it and install it

How can i get my airport to connect automatically to the appropriate network?
I am using a macbook pro with all of the latest updates to leopard. Every time I am at school it always connects to the dummy network for non-students. The network for students is hidden.
I have put it at the top of my preferred networks, but it always connects to the non-hidden network I don't want to connect to.How can i get my airport to connect automatically to the appropriate network?
Airport is really wacky. What you are doing is correct, however go into the listing for your preferred networks and make sure you remove the non-student network from the list. Select the network to remove and hit the minus sign to remove it from the list. Then, if Airport cant find your preferred network it will prompt you with a message telling you that it cant find any of your preferred networks and ask you if you want to use a different network.
Note: If you hit yes, it will add it to the list so you have to go back in and remove it if you dont want it there by default.
Airport has had issues since OSX 10.5 came out that they have not yet resolved, network issues like yours are only one of them...

How to connect pieces of fondant on a cake?
I am making a cross-shaped cake for a baby's dedication at church and I am not completely sure how to connect pieces of fondant without showing a seam. I don't want to use icing borders or anything to cover it, either. It is going to be a cross-shaped cake with white fondant, luster dust, shimmery white ribbon around the bottom and her monogrammed initials on the front/center. Hi MMo2! Cake decorating isn't really my thing, but there was a show on PBS about it. When they used fondant, they always rolled it out bigger than the cake (and they did some different shapes). It seems the fondant is very pliable at room temp. So it seems that you could roll it out to about the same shape, even if you have to piece it together to roll it. When you get it on top of the cake you should be able to mold it to the shape of the cake fairly easily (the pliability thing). Hope this helps!
If you have to do it in pieces just dab your finger in some water and run it along the seam to join them together (you may have to rub it lightly to join the seams) and you won't be able to tell where they were joined.
you can just add a drop of water to the piece of fondant and you can stick it onto the other pieces of fondant
